Beyond oak, beech and ash, which are the core of our business, Sawmill Vuitton selects and prepares a range of rare species for projects that require character: Pippy Oak, linden, cherry, birch, hornbeam, birch, hornbeam, hornbeam, hornbeam, hornbeam, hornbeam, hornbeam, hornbeam, cornflower, poplar and walnut. Specializing in hardwood sawing for more than 50 years, Scierie VUITTON provides wood professionals with a selection ofRare and Specific Essences, in addition to our main production of oak, beech and ash. These diverse woods meet the needs of cabinetmakers, carpenters, carvers, turners, luthiers and creators looking for materials with a unique character.

All Our Woods Come From Sustainably managed French and European forests (PEFC/FSC), sawn in our Jura sawmill, paraffinized at the end, dried naturally and then dried in cells to reach a controlled humidity level of 10 to 12%.

Our Range of Special Essences

Pippy Oak

The Pippy Oak Is a rare variant of European oak, identifiable by its Multiple Small Knots Grouped Together That form has a unique decorative pattern. Highly sought after in high-end cabinetry, it is ideal for Table Tops, Decorative Panels and Luxury Furniture. High density, excellent durability, unmistakable aesthetics.

Lime tree

The Linden (Tilia cordata) is a soft wood with Fine and homogeneous grain, of creamy white color. Light and easy to work with, it is the reference gas for Wood Carving, Spinning, Model Making and Violin Making. Stable after drying, it accepts finishes perfectly.

Cherrywood

The Cherrywood (Prunus avium) Seduced by His Warm Pinkish to Reddish-Brown Tones That develop a beautiful patina over time. Traditional Noble Wood fromFrench cabinetry, it is preferred for stylish furniture, interior layout, parquet floors and marquetry. Fine grain, nice consistency.

Charm

The Hornbeam (Carpinus betulus) is one of Hardest and Densest Hardwoods from Europe. White-yellowish color, tight grain, exceptional mechanical resistance: it is used for Tool handles, mechanical parts, butcher blocks, technical lathe and parquet floors with high traffic.

Robinia (false acacia)

The Robinia (Robinia pseudoacacia) is theFrench Alternative to Exotic Woods. Naturally sustainable (class 4), it resists humidity, insects and fungi without treatment. Ideal for the Outdoor furniture, terraces, cladding, stakes, stakes, outdoor games and outdoor carpentry. Honey to golden brown hue.

Sycamore

The Sycamore (Acer pseudoplatanus) is a European maple with Light Wood, Almost White, with fine and silky grain. Appreciated for its light output, it is used in Claire Cabinetry, Violin Making (Violin Backs and Violas), Turnery, Veneer and Contemporary Furniture.

Wavy sycamore

The Wavy sycamore is the most prestigious version of the sycamore tree. Its fibrous structure has Natural Waves That Produce a Spectacular Moiré Effect Under the light. This rare wood is An absolute reference in high-end violin making (violins, guitars, pianos) and in fine cabinetry.

US oak (American oak)

The American oak (Quercus alba — white oak/ Quercus rubra — red oak) is distinguished from European oak by a More Regular Grain and a More Uniform Color. Highly requested in layout, furniture, parquet floors and cooperation, it offers an excellent compromise between aesthetics, stability and mechanical performance. Available in custom sawing according to your needs.

Tremble

The Aspen (Populus tremula) Is a wood Light, Tender and Creamy White. Odorless and without tannins, it is traditionally used for sauna blades, matches, pallets, pallets, pallets, food packaging, foundry models and formworks. An economical and versatile gasoline.

Alder

Alder (Alnus glutinosa) is a medium-hard wood of light brown-pink color, with a fine and homogeneous grain. Known for its remarkable resistance to humidity and even prolonged immersion, it is traditionally used for submerged carpentry, interior carpentry, lathe and carving. Its ease of work and its beautiful rendering also make it an asset appreciated in everyday cabinetry.

Bouleau

Birch (Betula pendula) is a white wood with golden reflections, with a fine grain and a smooth texture. Light, easy to work with and stable after drying, it is used in plywood, cabinetry, lathe, toys, utensils and packaging. Its bright and refined appearance makes it particularly appreciated in Scandinavian and contemporary furniture.

Chestnut

Chestnut (Castanea sativa) is a nerve wood with warm brown-golden tones, often with a pronounced thread and an appearance similar to oak. Naturally durable (class 3-4), it resists humidity well without treatment. Widely used for exterior carpentry, cladding, carpentry, carpentry, framing, fence posts, cooperage and rustic furniture. A robust and aesthetic species, coming from our French forests.

Poplar

Poplar (Populus nigra/Populus canadensis) is a light, soft, yellowish-white wood. Very easy to work with, it is widely used for unrolling (plywood), packaging, crates, pallets, formwork and foundry models. Its lightness and availability make it an economical and practical species for applications that do not require great mechanical resistance.

Walnut

Walnut (Juglans Regia) is one of the noblest and most sought-after species in French carpentry and cabinetmaking. Its chocolate brown wood with purplish nuances, with a fine grain and sometimes wavy thread, offers a rendering of incomparable elegance. Great for luxury furniture, marquetry, gun butts, musical instruments and turned objects. Dense, stable and easy to work with, it polishes beautifully.
