Scierie Vuitton continues its international expansion with a notable presence in Shanghai during a week dedicated to trade, professional networking, and exploring new opportunities in the Asian market.

Accompanied by Export Manager Alice Brulebois and Scierie Vuitton CEO Morgan Vuitton, this mission served to represent the Jura-based company to its long-standing partners, meet new industry players, and strengthen its footprint in international markets.

A week of productive engagement with the Chinese market

Shanghai is now a strategic hub for international trade in the timber sector. This week of meetings provided an opportunity to discuss current market needs, shifting demand, and potential collaborations with various professionals.

Scierie Vuitton reconnected with several long-term clients and partners while establishing new contacts with companies interested in French timber, particularly the select hardwood species produced in the Jura region.

These discussions confirm the international market's interest in high-value-added timber that meets stringent requirements for quality, traceability, and consistency.

French timber: internationally recognized expertise

For several years, Scierie Vuitton has been growing its export business by promoting French species such as oak, beech, and ash to international clients.

These woods are used in a variety of applications depending on the market:

  • French oak for furniture, flooring, interior design, and construction,
  • beech for woodturning, squares, and technical uses,
  • ash for decorative or mechanical applications.

Our presence in Shanghai is a key part of this strategy: showcasing the quality of French timber and building lasting relationships with partners who share our high standards.

A demanding yet opportunity-rich international landscape

This mission took place within a constantly evolving economic and regulatory environment.

Today, companies in the timber industry must navigate several major challenges:

  • shifting international trade policies,
  • new European environmental regulations, particularly the EUDR,
  • increasing demands for timber product traceability.

These transformations present significant challenges, but also opportunities for companies capable of demonstrating their reliability, transparency, and mastery of the supply chain.

Thanks to its local roots, certifications, and industrial organization, Scierie Vuitton continues to grow by adapting to the expectations of international markets.

A renewed ambition for Vuitton Exclusive Wood

This new season marks a milestone in the development of the Vuitton Exclusive Wood brand.

The goal is clear: to continue strengthening Scierie Vuitton's presence in international markets by relying on three essential pillars:

  • the quality of the wood offered,
  • long-term relationships with partners,
  • the ability to meet the specific requirements of each market.

The meetings held in Shanghai confirm the potential for export growth and reinforce our commitment to pursuing this momentum with new international clients.

Thank you to our partners for this international mission

Scierie Vuitton would like to thank FrenchTimber and all the participants for organizing a week full of exchanges, discoveries, and opportunities.

These meetings are essential for building the future of the French timber industry internationally and continuing to promote the expertise of French sawmills to global markets.
