Vuitton Sawmill has recently strengthened its commitment to safety by training all its teams in Workplace First Aid (SST).

This initiative is part of a proactive approach to prevention and responsibility, with a clear goal: to ensure a safe working environment for employees, as well as for all visitors, suppliers, and partners on site.

Immediate on-site response capability

Thanks to this training, our teams are now equipped to intervene quickly in the event of an incident.

Every trained employee is capable of:

  • assessing an emergency situation,
  • protecting those at risk,
  • alerting emergency services effectively,
  • performing appropriate first aid.

This responsiveness is a vital component in an industrial environment where activities involve specific risks related to machinery, handling, and the movement of materials.

A collective approach to prevention

SST training is more than just an individual skill. It is part of a comprehensive safety organization within the sawmill.

All teams share a common culture of prevention, based on:

  • anticipating risks,
  • daily vigilance,
  • securing work areas,
  • and reacting to unforeseen situations.

This approach helps reduce the risk of accidents and strengthens the overall safety of the site.

Protecting employees, as well as visitors and partners

Safety is not just about internal teams.

Visitors, clients, carriers, and suppliers are also covered by the prevention measures implemented on-site.

Having staff trained in occupational first aid ensures immediate assistance when needed and helps build trust during visits or external work.

A commitment to industrial responsibility

In an industrial environment like wood processing, safety is a key priority.

Occupational first aid training is part of a broader approach to risk management and the continuous improvement of working conditions.

It reflects a clear objective: to maintain high standards of prevention while ensuring secure operational performance.

A lasting commitment

This training complements the safety and work organization measures already in place at Scierie Vuitton.

It helps build a shared culture of vigilance and responsibility, which is essential in a demanding industrial environment.

The goal is simple: to ensure the protection of all individuals and maintain an optimal level of safety across the entire site in a sustainable and structured way
